MacLean, Willow Pearl Marie, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2015 in the Maritime Odd Fellows Home, Pictou. She was born in Brookland, Nova Scotia on May 29, 1927 to William C. and Isabel G. (Stewart) MacIntosh. She grew up and lived on the family farm until she married Dan A. MacLean on September 15, 1948 and moved to the MacLean Century Farm in Hedgeville, NS, where she lived until 2007. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and sister, Lawrena McCullough. She is survived by her son, Wayne, Toronto; nieces and nephews: Leonard (Mary), Scotch Hill; Everett (Mary), Brookland and Marie McCullough, Alma; Dr. Arthur (Lorraine) MacLean, New Glasgow; Donna (Pat) Millar, London, ON; Ethel (Arch) MacLaughlin, Lower Truro; Myrna (Eugene) Breen, Truro; Calvin (Nancy), Dartmouth; John (Agnes), Newtown and Elizabeth (Donnie Chisholm) Archibald, Thorburn. Willow was a volunteer with the Hodson-Hedgeville 4-H Calf Club for seven years and was a member of the Salem United Church, the United Church Women and the Frazee Rebekah Lodge, all in River John. Willow enjoyed old time music and dancing, sewing, quilting and knitting, and had a special fondness for cats, kittens and babies. Appreciation is extended to Dr. Burrill and the staff of the Maritime Odd Fellows Home in Pictou for the professional and loving care they provided since April 2009. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 26, from 2:00 - 3:30 PM and the funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM, in the McLaren Funeral Home Chapel, Pictou. Spring burial will be in the Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only.
