Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family, Shirley Constantine (Phelan), on March 24th, 2015. Predeceased by her husband John Constantine and her siblings and their spouses; Fred Phelan, Joan Ring (Jack), Carmel Descano (Dick), Pat Bailey (Gus), Kay Collins (Walter), Bette Mills (Walter), John Phelan, Magdalene Phelan, also her brother-in-law John Harvey. Her brothers and sisters-in-law Florence Constantine, Mary and Paul McDonald, Gertrude and Frank Lindsay, Helen and Patrick Dillon, Philip Constantine and Dorothy and Mike O'Brien. Leaving to mourn her loss, her children Brenda Bruce (Willie), Mike Constantine (Tammy), Fred Constantine (Mary), Maureen Powell (Dave), Joanne Constantine (John), and Maria Constantine (Paul); her sisters Rosemarie Harvey and Jackie (Sister Brenda Phelan RSM) as well as her sisters-in -law Ann Phelan May and Martha Constantine. Her grandchildren Nicole (James), Stephen (Lyne); Johnathon, Justin, Michael; Matthew, Maria, David and Mark; Jessica and Alexander. She also leaves to mourn numerous nephews and nieces and her "Gould's Pond Family" and many friends. Sincere thank you to all of the health care professionals for the care and compassion provided during her illness. At her request cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Cauls Funeral Home, Lemarchant Road, waking Thursday March 26, 2-4 and 7-9pm and Friday March 27, 2-4 and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist 9:30am, Saturday, March 28th, 2015. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory to The Gathering Place or the H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre.
