It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gertrude Dorothy Butler announce her passing on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at St. Claire's Hospital in St. John?s at the age of 73 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Cindy (Cal), Willie (Jan), Peter, Tom (Debbie), Della (Doug), Brenda (Bob), Lisa (J.T.) and their father Brendan Butler; a large number of grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; brothers and sister: Jim (Marie), Al (Laura), Terry, Dave (Brenda), Frank (Jeannie), John (Joy) and Rose (Rick); lifelong friends Ina and George Earle; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Olive and Frank Ryan, brothers Don, Randy and Billy, companion Bill Tulk. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m. from Fillatre's Funeral Home Chapel, St. Mark's Avenue with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Transition House, Corner Brook.
