MERIGOMISH – Dorothy Ann Pettipas, 82, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 26, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Jean (Robson) and the late Duncan Gillis.
Surviving are her sons, Billy and Donald Pettipas, both of Riverton; very special niece Muriel Gillis, New Glasgow; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Bill Pettipas; sister, Catherine Richards; brothers, Sandy and Doug Gillis.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow, with Fr. Colin MacKinnon, presiding. Interment will be at a later date in Murray’s Point Cemetery.
Donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the family.
