MORESIDE: Katherine Helen of Kyle, SK passed away on March 3, 2015 at the Kyle Health Care Centre at the age of 77. Katherine is survived by her husband Rolland Moreside; son Lance Moreside; and brothers Donald (Jane) Hartness and Reg Hartness; and sisters-in-law Lynn Sillers (Jim Hartness) and Darlene Hartness. She is predeceased by her parents Jack and Annie Hartness; brothers Johnny and Jim Hartness; and sister-in-law Brenda Hartness. Katherine attended Clytha, Lacadena, Whitebear and Kyle Schools. She worked for the TD Canada Bank in Kyle since 1955. Katherine was an avid bird watcher. She fed the winter sparrows, looked forward o the first finches in the spring and hummingbirds at rodeo. Kathy enjoyed her summer flowers and shared with neighbors her garden produce, especially her famous zucchini. The road trips to Deadwood and other gambling resorts were enjoyed by both Kathy and Rolland. Kathy was a cautious gambler and rarely came up short. She enjoyed bus trips with friends, and was always game for adventures with the "birthday club". Katherine was known for her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor.
