PARTINGTON, JANE KATHLEEN (LYNCH)
It is with sadness but great memories that the family of Jane (Jenny) Partington wish to announce her passing at the York Care Center on Friday, March 27. She was born in Blackville, NB on November 26, 1918, the daughter of James Lynch and Mary (Underhill) Lynch.
Jane is remembered as a very energetic and spirited woman who adored life and all that it had to offer. She was married for 68 years to her “soul mate” and “love of her life” Brick. She loved her family dearly and was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed bowling, darts, shuffleboard and watching her beloved Blue Jays on TV. Jane also liked to Knit and crochet. She was employed for 25 years at Gaiety Men’s & Boys Wear as a seamstress prior to its closure.
Jane is survived by her two sons James (Sharon) of New Maryland, Bill (Heather) of Edmonton, Alberta; one daughter Pauline (Jack) of Moncton, her grandchildren Mark and Kalee Partington, Kathy Mitchell, five great-grandchildren, three sisters Veda (Laurie) Legere of Moncton, Maisie (Brendan) Keough of Toronto and Dorothy (Pat) Boyle of New York USA as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Harold, her sisters Lillian and Lyla Lynch, Helen (Willis) Murphy and Betty (Raymond) Mozeralle as well as two brothers Harold and Lester Lynch.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton with visitation on Tuesday, March 31 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Dunstan’s Catholic Church, on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 12:00 pm with Father Bill Brenan as celebrant. Interment will be held in the Hermitage Cemetery at a later date.
For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
