BEERS, ORLEY ERNEST
Orley Ernest Beers, 65, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, March 28, 2015, after a short illness. Born in Targettville in 1949, he was the son of the late Freebern Beers and Mabel (Cail) (Beers) Soucoup.
He spent most of his adult life in Moncton on Braeburn Crescent. Orley’s favorite pastime was playing darts, at which he became very skilled and took home many trophies. He could often be found at the Club throwing darts and socializing.
He leaves to mourn his stepdad, Leonard Soucoup; brothers, Floyd (Sylvia), Robert (Marge) and Elmer (Emily); sisters, Iris (Dennis) and Margaret (Gordon); several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff of the Coronary Unit, 3rd Floor of The Moncton Hospital for the care and compassion given to Orley during his stay.
Visitation will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A service to celebrate Orley’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 3:00 pm with The Rev’d Roderick Black officiating. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment to be held in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Brown’s Yard, in the spring.
Donations in Orley’s memory can be made to a memorial of the donor’s choice.
