1928 - 2015
Helen Shearer, passed away peacefully at The Kiwanis Nursing Home on Friday, March 27, 2015. Born in River Hebert, NS, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Annie Morris.
Helen was the last surviving member of her immediate family and will be sadly missed by nephews; Michael (Betty) MacQuarrie, David (Patricia) Kennedy and nieces; Shelley MacQuarrie King, and Susan (John) McGrath as well as many great nephews and nieces.
Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Robert Shearer, brother Donald Morris, sister Shirley Kennedy, and by nephew John MacQuarrie.
Helen retired from the Royal Bank in Toronto, after 36 years, then returned home to the Maritimes.
A memorial service celebrating Helen’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Andrews Anglican Church, 105 Elmwood Drive, Moncton, NB.
The family would like to thank the Staff of The Kiwanis Nursing home for the great care Helen received.
Interment will take place at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
