NEARY, MARGARET "RITA" LISTER
It is with sadness that the family of Margaret "Rita" Neary announces her death at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Sunday, March 29th, 2015 at the age of 89. Born in Musselburgh, Scotland, on July 19th, 1925, she was the wife of the late Earl Neary of Oromocto, NB.
Rita leaves behind her children, Catherine Gilbert (Terry) of Oromocto, NB, Peter Neary (Mary Jane) of Edmonton, AB, Susan Hulan (Ivan) of Robinsons, NL and John Neary (Nora) of Edmonton, AB; brother, Dr. Nelson Watson (Valerie) of Fredericton, NB; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her daughter-in- law Roxanne of Calgary, AB, and many nieces and nephews from the UK.
In addition to her husband, Earl, Rita was predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine (Potts) Watson; sons, Brian and Russell Neary; sister, Winnifred Carey.
Rita was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star and the War Brides Association.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago Street, on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 6 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm with The Rev. Canon Walter Williams officiating. A reception will follow the service. Interment will be in St. John's Anglican Cemetery in the spring.
