Thelma Mae
Conrad (Blagdon)
Jan. 28, 1927- March 25, 2015
Thelma passed away at Ridge Meadows Hospital after a courageous four year battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. She will be deeply missed by her devoted husband Hurley and her three daughters, Jackie Compston of Gibson, BC, Margaret Conrad of Maple Ridge, BC and Marlo Conrad of Langley, BC. She is survived by her siblings Jessie (Earl) Williams, Annie Saunders and William Blagdon all of Shelburne, Nova Scotia. Also mourning her are eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. Thelma was born to Samuel and Jesse Blagdon in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia. Thelma met her Hurley in 1945 and moved to Bralorne in 1956. They were married in Vancouver in 1958 and started their family. In 1967 they moved to Osoyoos and raised their family. After Hurley's retirement they moved to Princeton to be close to Don and Annie. In 2011 they moved to the coast so that Thelma could receive treatment and be close to her girls. Thelma was very involved with the Princeton Ladies Legion Auxiliary. A very brave, strong and passionate woman is gone but never forgotten. Always in our hearts. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, 11765 224th Street, Maple Ridge, BC.
