BRIGGS, LLOYD GEORGE
The passing of Lloyd George Briggs of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Donna (Major) Briggs occurred on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at York Care Centre. Born on March 13, 1923 in Temperancevale, NB, he was the son of the late George and Rose (Clark) Briggs.
Lloyd was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces. He retired from NB Power, after 28 years of service.
Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Patricia Briggs of Fredericton, NB; son, David Briggs (Anne) of Antigonish, NS; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Webber of Bedford, NS; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Marjorie Bustard, Iris MacDonald, Betty Trecartin, Eileen Stairs and Teresa Woodward; brothers, Elmo and Owen Briggs.
There will be no visitation by request; a Private Family Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Dunlop officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at a late date.
