GALLOWAY, EVELYN MAY
The passing of Evelyn May Galloway of Fredericton, NB, wife of Raymond Galloway occurred on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the York Care Centre. Born on August 9, 1926 in Scotch Settlement, NB, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Ethel (Clark) Grey.
Evelyn loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, crocheting and also spending time in Myrtle Beach, in her later years.
In addition to her husband, Evelyn is survived by her sons, David Galloway (Janie) of Wassis, NB and Kevin Galloway (Roxanne) of New Maryland, NB; grandchildren, Amanda Galloway (Daniel Mongrain), Karen Galloway, Christina Galloway (Jacob Boyd), Brianna Galloway and Travis Galloway; great grandchildren, Paislee Boyd, Malcolm Bradshaw and Nathaniel Galloway; sister, Myrtle Whitehead of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Dale Galloway; sisters, Mary Jones and Ellen Price; brothers, Elmer and Bernus Grey.
Although there will be no visitation; a Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Peter Thomas officiating. Interment will take place in Scotch Settlement Cemetery at a later date.
