BLANCHARD, EDNA
1920 – 2015
Edna Blanchard, 94, of Foyer Saint-Antoine and formerly of Sainte-Anne de Kent, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Foyer Saint-Antoine on Thursday, April 2, 2015. She was married to the late Ferdinand Blanchard (2011). Born in Richiboucto-Village, she was the daughter of the late France and the late Sarah (Richard) Richard.
She will be sadly missed by her seven children; Blanche Robichaud (Léopold Richard) of Rexton, Annie Caissie (Edgar) of Cote Sainte-Anne, Francine Doiron (Ovile) of Hubbardston, Mass., Dorice Tourigny (Vernon) of Palm Bay, Fl., Gisèle Saindon (André) of Moncton, Ferdinand "Freddie" (Félice) of Saint-Edouard de Kent, Gerard of Cocagne, thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn one sister Marie-Mai Maillet of Saint-Edouard de Kent, and two brothers, Emile (Eva) of Gardner, Mass. and Lorenzo (Yvonne) of San Diago as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by five sisters; Emilia, Rita, Dorice, Thérèse and Eloise and two brothers; Livain and Florion.
Visitations will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Church on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Edna’s memory donations may be made to the Foyer Saint-Antoine.
