Anne Theresa Hollohan, 91 of MacGillivray Guest Home, formerly of Townsend Street, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late George and Rose (Haddad) Haddad.
She was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s parish, Sydney and was an active member of the Lebanese/Syrian Benevolent Society and also the Royal Canadian Ladies Auxiliary of Branch 128. Annie was an avid bowler until the Bowl-Mor Lanes closed. She loved every moment of her summers in Big Pond.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Annie was predeceased by her husband, Thomas and by her brothers, Esau, Peter, John and sisters, Mary Larder, Julia Briand and Mamie Bishop
Visitation for the late Mrs. Hollohan will be from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2015 at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, 40 Cabot St., with Rev. Bill Burke officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
