Isabelle Tower

The peaceful passing of Isabelle (Bella) Marie Tower age 94 of Amherst occurred on Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, while surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 25, 1920 in Amherst, Bella was a daughter of the late Peter and Amelia (Gaudet) Landry.
In her younger years, Bella was employed with Aerovox in Amherst. She and her husband enjoyed camping and traveling.
Bella is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (Don) MacKinnon, Janice ( Ben) Griffin, Barbara (Rod) Gorveatt, Carol (Leo) Despres, Joan (Maynard) George, Nancy (Terry) Ripley, Isabel (Ron) Ross and Cathy Tower (Rick) all of Amherst; sons, Jimmy (Yvonne), Donald (Carol), William, Arthur (Shirley) all of Alberta, John (Debbie), Dartmouth, NS and Charles (Donna) Miramichi, NB; 65 grandchildren; many great and great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Bella was the last surviving member of her immediate family and in addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Lockwood Tower; son, Peter Tower; sisters, Yvonne Landry, Rita Davison and Agnes Yurchuck; brothers, Fred, Meddie, Aurele, Ernest, Clarence, Edgar, as well as George and Louie in infancy.
Her remains are resting in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902-667-9906) with visiting on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. A private traditional Roman Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated on her behalf with Father Daniel Ahern presiding.
Interment will take place at a later date in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery.
Family flowers only. Memorial contributions in Bella’s memory may be made to the Pro Life, Mass Cards or charity of choice.
