Dolores Elizabeth MacLean, 85, of Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility, formerly of Cabot House, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, April 3, 2015, at the residence.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth (MacKillop) MacDonald.
She was an active participant in all aspects of the community with her devoted husband, Roy. This included enjoying events around town such as, bridge gatherings, dances at the yacht club, golf and curling events and especially those ever-impromptu sing-alongs with friends and family.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Dolores is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Roy of Sydney; son, Roy Jr. (Jocelyne), Toronto and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Kenny, Blair, Hazen and sister, Lolly.
Visitation for the late Mrs. MacLean will take place from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday with Rev. Bill Burke officiating, both taking place at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney.
