PINEAU, GEORGE FRANCIS
It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of George Pineau of Saint John, who passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday April 6, 2015. Born in Prince Edward Island in October of 1940, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mary (McMurrer) Pineau.
George was a Pipefitter by trade and worked construction from 1959-2005; retiring from Irving Paper in 2005.
George is survived by his loving wife Carol (Casey) Pineau and devoted daughter Deborah Dougay both of Saint John; sisters Shirley Cleveland and Noreen Gallant (David) and brother Clarence Pineau all of PEI; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his step-father Alfred McGaughey and brother Wayne Pineau-McGaughey.
George was devoted to his wife and daughter, he enjoyed coffee breaks at Tim Horton’s McAllister Place with the boys and a game of darts or cards.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A private memorial service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s memory can be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital or the charity of the donor’s choice.
