Yvette Cormier, 96, of Riverview formerly of Shediac, passed away on Wednesday April 8, 2015 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on May 4, 1918 in Sanford, ME, she was the daughter of the late Auguste and Ernestine (Demers) Doiron.
She is survived by two daughters: Jeanne Vautour (Omer) and Rachelle Gallant (Roland); five grandchildren: Renée, Nicole, Jocelyne, Diane and Joël; 10 great-grandchildren: Kyle, Dominique, Sébastien, Justin H., Simon, Jacob, Justin G., Marco, Niko and Dax; two sisters: Jeanne d’Arc Doiron and Lucille Perron; a special longtime friend, Sr. Thérèse Lirette; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur (1985); her son, Donald (1977), three sisters: Aurore, Marie and Thérèse; five brothers: Wilfred, Léo, Joe, Lionel and Roland.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton on Saturday April 11, 2015 at 10 am. Interment will be in Saint-Joseph cemetery, Shediac.
