WESTVILLE – It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, Kathleen "Kay" (Joudrey) Hale, age 91, North Street, Westville, on April 9, 2015, in Valley View Villa.
Born on May 26, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Seymour and Irene (Barry) Joudrey.
Mom worked for years at Glen Haven Manor as a Dietician. She loved to have people come in for tea; enjoyed their trips to the trailer, and was one of the founding members of the Westville Ladies Auxiliary to the Westville Fire Department for 30 years.
She is survived by her children: Barry Hale (Sadie); Sandra Watters (Rae); Darlene Chaulk (Wayne Smith); Valerie MacDonald (Albert); sister, Shirley Bonner; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Joudrey and Jackie Joudrey; grandchildren: Barry Avery (Janet), Tracey Dunn (Troy), Wayne Hale (Michelle Ward), Marlo Cooper (Nick), Scott Hale (Holly), Lisa MacDonald (Ken Greenich), Jason MacDonald, Meghan Nicholson (Shane); great-grandchildren: Ashley, Cody, Brittany, Bradley, Mitchell, Meghan, Connor, Ethan, Kameryn, Jackson, Dylan, Keelyn, and Kenzie; great-great-grandchildren, Jack and Harper Jane Kendall.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lorne Berton “Bert” Hale; brothers, Willard, Bill, and Barry Joudrey, and her beloved dog Chester.
Kay is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, with visiting on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held 4 o’clock Sunday from St. Paul United Church, Westville, with Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating. Spring burial will be in St. Bee’s Cemetery. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
