Christena, 85, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Glace Bay Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Dominion, she was the daughter of the late Neil D. and Ena (Lynk) McLean.
Chris will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and great cooking skills. She resided at the Stirling Road Complex where she made many friends whom she considered as family.
Chris will be sadly missed by her three sons, Joseph Laird who was a devoted son and caregiver, Glace Bay, Ronald (Kathy), Amherst, Angus, Ontario, her sister, Elvira Spencer and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Chris was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Joseph Boozan, five sisters, Jessie, Kathleen, Thelma, Flora, Anne and a brother, Angus.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. Rev. Vernon Reid officiating. Interment at a later date in St. John’s Cemetery, Glace Bay.
