Passed peaceful away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on April 12, 2015, Gertrude Thomas, age 99 years. Predeceased by her husband William Thomas; parents John and Norah Keating of Conception Harbour; 6 sisters Helen and Kathleen Keating, Mary Walsh (Patrick), Clara Fowler (Larry), Anna Dicks (Ignatius) and Agnes Giordano (Tony); 3 brothers John, Bernard (Margaret) and William Keating. Leaving to mourn her son Jerome Keating (Christine); nieces Margaret Lambe, Carol Cole (John), Noreen Fowler, Shirley Philpott (Cory) and Jan Dicks; nephews Leonard Fowler and Robert Giordano as well as numerous relatives and friends. Special thanks to the 4th floor staff at St. Patricks Mercy Home for their care and compassion. Visitation to take place at Caul's Funeral Home LeMarchant Road on Tuesday, April 14 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place from St. Teresa's Parish on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted.
