ROBINSON, BERNIECE “BEA” ELSIE KATHERINE
It is with profound sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Berniece “Bea” Robinson, 84, of McNair Manor, Riverview, and formerly of Shediac, at her residence on Thursday, April 9, 2015. Born in Doaktown, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Merle (O’Donnell) Amos.
Bea was a former hairdresser and medical secretary at The Moncton Hospital. She was a wonderful artist, painter, designer, enjoyed gardening, loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with her loving family.
Bea will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 66 years, Benjamin “Ben” Robinson, with whom she resided with at McNair Manor; loving daughters, Sherry Slater (late “Bill”) of Shediac; Susan Duquette (Danny) and Jacki Robinson (late Benji), both of Moncton; cherished grandchildren, Darren Slater (Barb), Kristy Smith (Shane), Denis Duquette (Sarah), Eric Duquette, Jeffrey, Katelyn and Scott Robinson; great grandchildren, Avery, Ryan and Jayden Smith, Robyn and Keegan Slater; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, Bea was predeceased by brothers, Cyril, James and Willard; sisters, Mary, Muriel, Zaida and Myrtle.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A Service to Celebrate Bea’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 1:30 pm with The Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, St. Martin’s-in-the Woods Anglican Church Cemetery, Shediac Cape, later in the spring.
Donations in Bea’s memory to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family.
