Passed peacefully away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, age 86 years. Formerly of Freshwater Cove, Ferryland. Predeceased by her parents Michael & Genevieve Canning (nee Johnson), husband Edward Patrick Hartery, brother Michael (Bride), four sisters: infant sister, Jean Izzo (Fred), Marcella O'Neill (Thomas), Dorothy Fecteau (Emile). Left with fond and loving memories, sister Madeline Cassidy (Thomas) and brother Peter James Canning; Her son Fabian (Joanne) and their daughter Genevieve her only granddaughter...Nanny's girl & son Lindsay. Also Nephews Jack O'Neill (Nancy), Wally O'Neill (Audrey), Gregg Hartery (Carol Murray), Nieces Sylvia Hopkins (Jason) and Audrey O'Reilly (Tim). Special friends Irene Whiffen & Marie Stanley. Special thanks to the staff of Agnes Pratt and the Health Science Center. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, April 20, 2015 from Corpus Christi Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
