WATSON, MARGARET HANNAH
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret H. Watson of McAdam, NB announce her passing on April 18, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born in McAdam, NB in 1918, a daughter of the late John Henry and Maggie May (Jordan) Lewis.
She enjoyed playing cribbage and was a Toronto Blue Jays fan. Margaret was a member of St. George’s Anglican Church in McAdam and served as secretary of St. George’s Anglican Guild for more than twenty five years.
She is survived by her children, Shirley Groody, Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, Sandra Miller-Evans (Edward), Fredericton, NB, Brian Watson (Wendy), Mississauga, ON and Cathy McCartney (Frank), Christie Ridge, NB; ten grandchildren, Melanie (Joe), Charity (Ed), Bradley (Natalie), Ryan (Deanna), Colin (Tiffini) Sarah (Garret), Lisa (Dave), Kenneth, Jordan and Shane; fourteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Ella Nason, Milo, Maine; a brother, Karl Lewis (Pauline), Toronto, ON; two special nieces, Beatrice Grant and Mary Adams and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth M. Watson in 1996, a sister, Grace Mason, a half- sister, Hattie and brothers, Arthur, John, Fred and Richard Lewis.
Visitation was held at Swan Funeral Chapel, Harvey Station, NB on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Benton, NB on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Terry Messer officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
