The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Sunday April 19, 2015 of Chester William Phillips of Arlington, aged 89 years, beloved husband of Laura Belle (Millar).
Born in Arlington on October 30, 1925, son of the late James and Catherine (MacLean) Phillips. Dear father to Carl (Ann), Barrie (Peggy), Eric (Nina), Sherwin (Mary), John (Anne), all of Arlington and Catherine (Claudio) Ardiles, Yellowknife. Loving grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Chester is also survived by brother-in-law, George Millar, and sisters-in-law, Orell Montgomery, Priscilla Ramsay, Rowena (Alton) Ramsay, Ruth (Heath) MacLennan and Joan Millar. Predeceased by his parents, grandsons Scott and Matthew Phillips and Randy Ford, and twin brothers, Allison and Arnold.
Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours on Tuesday, April 21, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Lot 14 United Church Cemetery at a later date.
