Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, April 20, 2015, James Charles Cook, age 71 years, St. John's business man, founder and owner of Newtrans Equipment Carriers Limited. Jim is predeceased by his infant son, James Robert; parents Robert and Elsie (Heale) Cook; brother, Chesley and sisters: Betty Courage, Dorothy Ross, Lola Boland and Barbara Fuca; three nephews, Kenneth, Robbie, and Gary. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife, Genevieve (Genny); son, Gerald (Donna); two grandchildren whom he adored Haley and Tyler; brothers: Herbert (Ella), Robert (Marie) and Paul (Theresa); sisters: Edna Ashman (Mervin), Olga Soper (Edward) and Marilyn; brother-in-law, James Haley (Gloria). Also mourning: aunt, Ina Heale; a large circle of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, especially Hubert Bourne, Don Morrissey, George King, Don Dalton and Ed Soper. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 7-9 and Thursday April 23, 2015 10 am - 9 pm. Funeral service to take place at St. Mark's Anglican Church, on Friday April 24, 2015 at 2 pm. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Society or charity of your choice.
