Ronald 'Ron' Edward, 77 passed away on Thursday, April 16th, 2015 at the VG Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Born in Rose Blanch, Newfoundland, Ron was the son of the late John Parsons and Anne (Strickland) Parsons.
Ron was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was happiest out on a lake with a rod in his hand. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Ron is survived by his children, Wanda (Kevin) Mombourquette, L'Ardoise, Ronald Parsons (Ontario), Gwen (Jim Brown) Bennett, Ontario, Tasha (Bruce) Brown, Halifax, Scott (Tracey McIsaac) Parsons; sisters, Suze, Melite, Anne-May, brothers, John, William and Austin. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Ron was predeceased by his wife, Betty, son, Gregory Parsons; brothers, Gordon, Wilfred and Clyde.
Funeral services will be held at V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home in Glace Bay at a later date with the time to be announced.
