LYONS, ALFRED LEIGHTON "BIMBO"
The passing of Alfred “Bimbo” Leighton Lyons of Fredericton, NB occurred on Monday, April 20, 2015 at home. Born on January 29, 1954 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late James and Gertrude Lyons.
He worked as a painter for Impressions. Alfred was a member of McNamee Pentecostal Assembly. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing music, liked to paint, ride motorcycles and also enjoyed playing hockey. He tied salmon flies for many years.
Alfred is survived by his daughter, Jen Flewelling (Rob Peterson) of Fredericton, NB; son, Joel Lyons (Courtney) of Doaktown, NB; grandchildren, Lincoln, Summer, Brock and Paige; brothers, Donald Lyons (Joan) of Kingston, ON and Stephen Lyons (Maria Golemiec) of Fredericton, NB; brother in law, Heman Chow of Doaktown, NB; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Ruth Chow.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 12 to 2 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm with Pastor Cole Price officiating. Interment will take place McNamee Pentecostal Cemetery in Porter Cove at later date.
