Elizabeth Joyce Urquhart of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the age of 78 years.
Joyce is survived by her children Lynn Bentley, Joy (Barry) O’Connor, Ralph (Sharon) Brown, Paul Brown, Lois Anne Berridge; step daughter Heather (Ian) Urquhart; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Also to cherish Joyce's memory are her brothers Bill (Thelma) MacLennan and Sandy (Sandra) MacLennan; sisters Mae Hare, Chris Campbell, Audrey (Tom) Tobin, Sadie Henderson, Joan (Billy) Wentworth, Sharon Vokey, Beatie (Jimmy) Jesome and Donna (Glen) Mason as well as numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
She was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Murdena MacLennan, husband David Urquhart, brother & sister-in law Doug & Dot MacLennan, sister Cathrine MacLennan, brother in laws Sanford Hare, Roy Campbell, Calvin Vokey, Arnold Henderson, grandson Dustin Brown, nephew Doug Tobin and niece Colleen Tobin.
A service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held in the auditorium of Extendicare Michener Hill, 12 - Michener Blvd, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to The Arthritis Society of Alberta, Alberta & NWT Division Office 1301 8th St. SW. Suite 300, Calgary, AB, T2R 1B7 or to the Lung Association of Alberta, Box 4700, Stn South, Edmonton AB T6E 9Z9.
