The death occurred at Stewart Memorial Long Term, Tyne Valley, on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 of Janet "Jen" Crombie Ramsay, Tyne Valley, aged 89 years, veteran of Second World War, wife of the late Byron.
Born in Ellerslie on March 6, 1926, daughter of the late Gordon and Adah (MacLean) Millar. Dear mother to James (Marjorie), Charlottetown and Jean Loy, NWT. Loving grandmother to Steven (Kim) Ramsay, Roxanne (Jody) MacLeod and Robbie (Linda) MacLean and to great-grandchildren, Connor, Katilyn, David, Ethan, Duncan, Ian and Innis. Jen is also survived by sister, Rachel Waugh, Summerside and brother, Orville (Jean) Millar, Summerside; sisters-in-law, Marilla Millar, Ellerslie; Evelyn Ramsay, Tyne Valley; and brothers-in-law, Harold West, Bellville, ON, Doug Hunter, Moorewood, ON, and Grant Mollison, Summerside.
Predeceased by her parents; husband, Byron; daughter, Charlotte; granddaughter, Sheri Anne; brother, Peter; sisters, Catherine and Beryl; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Albert, Lyman (Elaine), Eston (Ruth), Nina (George) and Mildred.
Resting at Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Saturday, April 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Comrades of the Ellerslie Royal Canadian Legion Branch #22 will hold a service of remembrance for their late comrade on Saturday at 6:45 p.m. Funeral will be held on Sunday at Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Interment will be at a later date in Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
