The death occurred peacefully at the QEH on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, of Antoni (Tony) Johan Enserink, age 84 years.
Beloved husband of the late Johanna (Annie) Aleida Enserink-Pelgrum and loving father of Alice Richard (Ed), Janet Reid (Dannie), Rowena McCann (Sam) and Bill Enserink (Krista). Opa is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren - Rebecca Bootsma (Brad), Peter Reid (Danielle), Philip Reid (Amy), Elise Richard, Christina DeVries (Adam), Philip Enserink, Benjamin Reid, Stephanie Enserink, Jessica McCann, Olivia Enserink, Sean McCann; great-grandchildren - Brayden, William, Nicole and Seth Bootsma, and Aliya and Aaron Reid; sisters - Jo Dwarshuis (Cor - deceased), Willemina Kamphuis (John) and Hermien van der Strate (Johan - Deceased); sisters-in-law - Tine Enserink (Johan - deceased), Anny Enserink (Wim - deceased); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents - Gerrit Jan Marinus Enserink and Johanna Hermina Enserink-Hietkamp, the Netherlands; sisters - Jantje Schouten (Henk) and Gerrie Ross (George), and brothers - Egbert (Hennie), Gerrit (Hendrika), Hein (Francien), Johan, Tinus (Miep) Bertus (Ina) and Wim.
Resting at the Hillsboro Funeral Home, then transferred to the Charlottetown Christian Reformed Church for visitation on Sunday, April 26, 4-7 p.m. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Monday, April 27, at the Charlottetown Christian Reformed Church at 3 p.m.
