STEEVES, ROSALIE
Rosalie Steeves, 66, of Berry Mills, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC on Thursday, April 23, 2015, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late James and Hazel (Crandall) Budd.
Rosalie retired as a chef from Holiday Inn, Moncton. She loved a good laugh, working in her flower beds, was a great cook, enjoyed volunteer work and was devoted to her family.
Rosalie will be sadly missed by her husband of over 45 years, Wendall Steeves; daughter, Jill Matthews (Jake) of Berry Mills and son, Jeff Steeves (Rhonda) of Bad Heart, AB; grandchildren, Nick (Monika), Tyler, Alysha, Jeffery, Taylor, Telson and Colton; sisters, Lillian Wrigley (late Gordon), Carol Douthwright (Richard), Helen Crouse (Keith), Joyce Budd and Kathryn Pellerin (late Leonard); brothers, Vaughn (Tillie) and Rae; sister-in-law, Joyce Budd; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Ralph, Harold, Ernest, Willard and two infant brothers, Robert and Paul.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A service to celebrate Rosalie’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 1:30 pm. Interment, Birch Hill Cemetery, Berry Mills, later in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial donations to the Moncton SPCA, ca-r-ma (Cat Rescue Maritimes) or Hospice Greater Moncton.
