Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s on the 7th day of April, 2015, Mr. George William Stevens of Flowers Cove in his 78th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories Annie Rose and family; Ross Stevens and family; Marie Stevens and family; Alvin Norman and family, as well as many friends and relatives. He was predeceased by parents Elijah and Elizabeth, brother Robert, and sisters Dora and Madeline. Visitation took place at St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Flowers Cove from where the service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 11 with Rev. Irving Letto. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Savage Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
