WILSON, MARGARET McLEAN VanWART
(November 1, 1924 - April 26, 2015)
Margaret McLEAN VanWart Wilson died peacefully at York Care Center on April 26, 2015. She was a life-long resident of Fredericton, where she began her education before attending the Netherwood School for girls in Rothesay, NB. Her work life was varied, holding positions at Zellers’, Canada Trust, and several years at Fredericton City Hall.
She was an active member of Wilmot United Church, participating in UCW, and more recently attending seniors’ events and bringing lots of stories to her weekly quilting group.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd McLean VanWart and Mary Edith McMurray; her brother, James (Mac); and her husband, James G Wilson.
She is survived by her son, Paul (Mary), Nackawic, her three grandchildren, Jake (Johanna), Kingston, Ontario; Ben (Kara), Miramichi City, NB; and Emily Silva (Dave), Brantford, Ontario; and her seven great grandchildren, Ethan, Magdalene, Jack, Ellie, Alice, Katherine, and Wilson.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 29th, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Wilmot United Church on Thursday, April 30th, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Ellen Beairsto will officiate. Interment will be in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery Extension.
