Monica Isabel Power – 1928-2015, of Stewiacke, and formerly of Westmount, Cape Breton, passed away April 28, 2015 at the age of 86, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Westmount, she was a daughter of the late Catherine Sarah (MacDonald) and John L. MacLellan.
Monica is survived by daughters, Theresa Power, Gail Alexander, both of Halifax; Debbie (Joe) DeLazzer, Stewiacke; granddaughters, Terri Lee (Ewan) MacLeod and their son, Alex; Derina DeLazzer; grandson, Dustin DeLazzer.
She was predeceased by sister, Mary (Prendergast) (Babcock) Woodworth; brothers, James, Jerome, Daniel, John and Gus.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. There will be no visitation at the request of the family. Interment will be at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East.
