James Hancock, born July 12, 1931. Passed away peacefully at his home in Belle River, with his family by his side.
Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gladys (Acorn); children, Brian (Denine), Margaret Ann (Jim O'Regan); grandsons, Ryan Rogers, Kurt Rogers, Tyler Hancock and Kale Hancock. Survived by brothers and sisters, Howard (Fran), Amy Chapman, Winston (Mary), Sadie (Raymond Stewart), June (Wayne Burley); brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard Grierson, Miriam, Elizabeth, Barb Burns and Viola Acorn.
Predeceased by parents, Chester and Letty (Cook); brothers and sister, Johnny (Joan), Doris, Ivan, and Cleveland; as well as brothers-in-law, Clarrie Acorn and Cecil Chapman.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting hours from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday. Funeral service will be held from Ferguson Logan Montague Chapel at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Interment to follow in Wood Island Cemetery.
