Mary “Vivian” Thompson (Cummings), age 93, of Stellarton, passed away peacefully May 1, 2015 at the Aberdeen Hospital,
with her children by her side.
Born in Stellarton she was the only child of the late Jack and Marjorie (Blackwood) Cummings .
Vivian was a life long resident of Stellarton, a member and elder of the Sharon St John United Church, and a member
of the UCW.
Dancing was a very important part of her life, having taught ballroom dancing, and line dancing to seniors in Stellarton.
She was also a member of Trenton Twirlers Square Dancing Club.
Vivian is survived by her children, Jack (Lise), Kingston, ON. Margie Rafuse, Stellarton, Derek (Pam), Sydney,
and Terry (Judy), Bedford, 8 Grandchildren, 5 Great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband Arthur C Thompson.
Visitation Sunday May 3, 2015, 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm H W Angus Funeral Home, King St, New Glasgow
Funeral service Monday May 4, 2015 at 11am, Sharon St. John United Church, Stellarton with Rev Jim Shaffner officiating , Reception to
follow in the church Hall.
Burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery.
