At the Western Hospital, Alberton on Thursday, April 30, 2015 of Mary Gladys Kennedy of Waterford, P.E.I., aged 100 years.
She was born in Skinners Pond on April 16, 1915, the daughter of the late Tim and Amelia (Arsenault) Myers.
Wife of the late Austin Albert Kennedy of Waterford, P.E.I. Dear mother to Lillian, Halifax, N.S.; Leigh (Shirlee), Mavilette, N.S.; Joan (Vic), Halifax, N.S.; Austin (Pam), Halifax, N.S. Angela (Vaughn), Dartmouth, N.S.; Reta (Gerald), Halifax, N.S.; John (Linda), Waterford, P.E.I.; and Earl, Waterford, P.E.I. Loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is survived by brother, Russell (Mac) Myers, and sister, Vinie (Cyril) Arsenault, of Tignish. She was predeceased by husband, Austin; daughter, Patsy; sisters, Sadie, Eleanor, Dora, Jean and Norma; brothers, Jerome, Leslie, Guy, Elmer, Chester, Joseph and Peter.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road. No visitation by personal request. Funeral mass will take place May 16, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Tignish Senior Home or to the Palmer Road Church Restoration Fund would be greatly appreciated.
