BEVERIDGE, EUNICE
It is with heavy hearts the family of Eunice Audrey (McKay) Beveridge announce her passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, May 4, 2015. She was born November 8, 1919 in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Eunice was the daughter of Frederick and Josephine McKay of Fredericton. After her marriage to Angus H. Beveridge, they relocated to Saint John and began to start their family. She worked for many years at Brooke Bond Company (Red Rose Tea). She was a lifelong member of the Anglican Church, and most recently attended the Church of the Resurrection located in Grand-Bay Westfield. She was a member of the ACW, enjoyed quilting with various groups, and the Branch 69 Seniors’ Club. Eunice will be remembered for being very generous and enjoying time spent with her family.
Eunice is survived by her children: Bonita Finnie (Robert) of Lincoln, NB; William Beveridge (Elizabeth) of Saint John, NB; Brenda Rice of Grand-Bay Westfield; Betty Beveridge of Saint John, NB; and daughter-in-law Gail Beveridge (Robert) of Saint John. As well as having twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Eunice was predeceased by her parents; husband Angus H. Beveridge; brothers Arthur, Eldon, and John McKay; sister Fredericka McKay; son Robert G. Beveridge; and son-in-law Arthur Rice. She was the last surviving member of the immediate McKay family.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral will take place at the Church of the Resurrection in Grand Bay-Westfield on Thursday May 7, 2015 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens, 715 Latimore Lake Road, East Saint John, NB.
For those who wish, remembrances can be made to the Church of the Resurrection in Grand-Bay Westfield or the charity of the donor’s choice.
