ROY, JEANNETTE (MALENFANT)
1925 - 2015
Jeannette Roy, 90, of Villa du Repos, Moncton and formerly of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Monday, May 4th, 2015, at her residence.
Born in Dieppe, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and the late Annie (née: Downing) Malenfant.
Mrs. Roy, coming from a very musical family, belonged to many choirs over the years.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Clément; four daughters: Louise Roy of Dieppe, Sylvia Roy of Montréal, QC, Denise Roy (Denis Rioux) of Dieppe and Suzanne Roy of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC; one son, Jean-Guy (Suzanne Caron) of Cupertino, CA; two brothers: Bill (late Francis) of Dieppe and Paul of Moncton; 10 grandchildren: Mathieu, Isabelle, Emilie, Michelle, Margo, Josée, Eric, Dominic, Samuel and Simon; one great-granddaughter, Anne-Catherine; several brothers and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters: Anna and Geneva and also by eight brothers: Louis, Joseph, Ferdinand, Georges, John, Edgar, Gérald and Charles-Edouard.
Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Wednesday, May 13th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Thursday, May 14th, 2015 at 11 am.
Interment at the Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe NB.
