With deep sadness we announce the passing of Jennie Samford, 87 of Calimesa, Calif., on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Kaiser Hospital, Ontario, Califa.
Jennie was born in Veljaci, Bosnia I Herzegovina, the youngest daughter of the late Kristopher and Julia (Grbavac) Mayich, Sydney. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Jennie lived her adult life in California, with her four children, sons, John (Susan), Frank (Leslie), Mark; daughter, Debra ‘DeeDee’ and stepdaughter, Annette (Dana) Kaufmann. She is also survived by her beautiful grandchildren, Justin, James and Travis Granich; step-grandchilden, Kristen Miller and Robert Caughey; six great-grandchildren; and many loved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Pat Samford; brothers, Stanley (Rose), John (Josie), and sister, Anne (Joe) Starzomski.
Her graveside service will take place on Monday, May 18, at 10:30 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Calif.
