NEW GLASGOW – Joseph Abraham “Abe” MacKinnon, age 39, of New Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015, in the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Joyce Ross (David Dickinson), of Kenzieville and Joseph MacKinnon, of Trenton
He was a bricklayer by trade. A natural athlete, he was very competitive in all sports. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved children and spending time with them.
Surviving besides his parents are a daughter, Hannah; brothers: John (Natasha), Avondale; Jarrod, Avondale; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Muriel Ross, Trenton; nieces, Jessica and Emma Lee; nephew, John Jarrod; aunts and uncles.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday in Barney’s River Presbyterian Church, Kenzieville, with Rev. Dr. Ken MacLeod officiating. Burial will be in Hatties Cemetery.
