JACKSON, FRANK EARLE
The death of Frank Jackson of Fredericton occurred on May 8th, 2015. Born July 28th, 1918, he was the son of the late Ira and Edith Jackson and husband to the late Joyce (Ward) Jackson.
Frank was proud to be the first trainee of the Canadian Air Force to train in the Fairchild Cornell, which he later used to train future navigators, pilots and bombers. He was an active golfer up to the age of 92, when he won his final championship with his team in Mactaquac. Frank was also well known in the bridge community as an avid duplicate bridge player and will be remembered by those who played with him throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
Frank is survived by his children, Frank Jr. Jackson (Alverda) of Timberlea, NS, Betty Schneider of Four Mile Brook, NS, Sharon O'Neill of Fredericton, NB, Carol Jackson (Bruce Clinton) of Stellarton, NS and David Jackson (Patricia) of Fredericton, NB; thirteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and his sister, Evelyn Olsen of Swift Current, SK.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Joyce; his brothers, Lawrence and Harold Jackson and his sister Jean Fiske.
There will be no visitation or service by request. Interment will take place at a later date in Scotsburn, NS. For those who wish, donations in memory of Frank may be made to the Alzheimer Society. McAdam's Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. www.mcadamsfh.com
