After her diagnosis with Alzheimer’s disease she lived for several years at Meadowbank Manor, Saint John; in 2014 she moved to Kennebec Manor, Saint John.
She is predeceased by her late husband, Hugh Harvey Tingley, who passed away suddenly in 1980. Joan is survived by her two brothers, Bill Whitman (Fran), of Simcoe, ON, and Doug Whitman (Audrey), of St. Catharines, ON, and by her children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
