It is with very great loss and sadness that the family of Delphine Patey of Port Saunders announces her passing at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the age of 45 years. She leaves to mourn a loving family: Partner Jonathan Lavers; daughter Stacy (Steven); the love of her life, her granddaughter Kinsley; parents Wilfred and Vera Patey; brother Amos (Jennifer) Patey; sisters: Brenda (Scott) Gould and Cindy (Ward) Samson; grandmother Mary Samson; nieces: Angela (Matt) Rudolph and Tiara (Joel) Alexander; nephews Jonathan Patey, Colin Samson and Richard (Jennifer) Gould; aunts, uncles and a large circle of extended family and friends. She was predeceased by grandparents James Samson, Roston and Grace Patey, and close friend Howard Lavers. The family received visitors at Trinity Pentecostal Church in River of Ponds on Thursday and with an informal hymn sing on Friday at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Tracey Freake and Steven Jenkins presiding, after which cremation will take place, with a memorial service at a time and date to be announced. Arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Homes, Port au Choix and Crematorium Pasadena.
