Beloved wife of Harry Harding Lynds. Loving mother of Judy Penfold (Alan), Brian Lynds (predeceased)(Yolanda), and Terry Lynds (Michelle). Cherished grandmother of Alan Penfold Jr. (Annissa), Sean Lynds, Chris Penfold, Amanda Marshall (Alan), Cody Lynds (Stephanie), Dylan Lynds (Monica), Ryan Lynds, Karlie Rae Lynds, and great-grandchildren Noel, Kieryn, and Zachary. Special nanny to Curtis, Nickolas, and Travis Kaattari. Dear daughter of Mildred and Samuel Burns both predeceased. Dear sister of Helen Banville, and predeceased by Muriel Raskstel, Wilfred McPherson, Willena Bisson, George Burns, Kay Smith, and Shirley Gath. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews.
Born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, she married Harry in Sudbury in 1951. Dorothy was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Her love of family was always the center of her life.
At Dorothy’s request there will be no public visitation or service. Cremation. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
