Passed peacefully away on May 10, 2015 at St. Clare's Hospital in St. John's at the age of 88. Born in Azzano Decimo, Pordenone, Italy on March 8, 1927, he was predeceased by his mother Tereza, father Giovanni Baptista, his twin brother Angelo, brothers Antonio, and Elia and his sister Paulina. Leaving to mourn his wife Carmen (nee Brescia) son John (Melanie), and beloved grandchildren Amelia and Gabriel. Also leaving to mourn in St. John's, NL, brother Guido (Frances) and their family Sabrina (Brian), Jean Baptiste (Tina) and Matthew (Sherry); in Italy, siblings Chia, Santina, Mario, and Georgio and many nieces and nephews; in Ontario, his brother Joe and family; in Argentina, his nieces Emilce and Lilliana. Benny emigrated to Canada in 1965 and his character, forged by a lifetime of hard work, made an impression on all those who knew him. He accepted everything that life threw at him and found a way to be happy in the face of it all. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home with visitation to be held on Wednesday May 13, 2015 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral mass to be held from Corpus Christi church on Waterford Bridge Road at 9:30 am May 14, 2015. Internment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
