It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce that Robert David Armsworthy, age 70 of Wildwood Drive, Howie Centre, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney and raised in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Charlie and Etta (Martell) Armsworthy.
Dave was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers for over 40 years and was a self employed Health and Safety Consultant and contractor for the NSCSA for the past 15 years. Dave was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners.
He was also one of the founding members and original president (7yrs) of the Harley Owners Group in Sydney. His love of Harleys was great.
Dave is survived by his wife, Anne (Quinn) Armsworthy; sons, Ronnie, Edmonton; Keith, Sydney; grandchildren, Cassandra, Danielle, Morgan and Kirsten; brothers, Chuck, William and Buckley; sister, Ida Mae and by numerous wonderful nieces, nephews.
There will be a gathering with family 2 hours prior to the service at 2 p.m. at The Church of Christ The King on Monday, May 18, 2015, officiated by Rev. Laura McCue.
