DeVILLER, Gertrude Mae - Age 83, passed away on May 12, 2015, in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Pinkney's Point, April 18, 1931, Gertrude was the daughter of the late Albert and Madeline (Melanson) Saulnier. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Gertrude was a life long member of the St. Raphael's church choir, worked at Bonda Textiles and Shirley Bradshaw’s women's store and was the best cook on Deep Cove. She is survived by her husband Ervin, Pinkney's Point; daughter Delilah (Wayne), Mount Uniacke, NS; son Roy (Gail), Pinkney's Point; grandchildren Jessica, Amy, Darcie and Ian and great grandchildren Hillary and Adam and Audrey plus two on the way which she never met, as well as by sisters Luella LeBlanc and Adelle Saulnier. She was predeceased by brothers Harvey, Albenny, Michael, Delbert, Earnest, Leonard and Roger; and sisters Alice and Madeline. Visitation was held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at H. M. Huskilson Funeral Home, Yarmouth. Funeral service took place Friday, May 15th at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Melbourne, Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc officiated, assisted by Father Pat O’Meara. Burial followed in the St. Raphael Church Cemetery, Pinkney’s Point. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the St. Raphael Cemetery fund or to the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Foundation.
