Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at Dr. A.A. Wilkinson Memorial Hospital, Old Perlican on Friday, May 8, 2015, Henry ‘Tom’ Martin of Grates Cove, age 92 years. Predeceased by parents: Henry Thomas and Bertha; brothers: John (Joyce), Ezekiel and Roy; sisters: Rebecca (Clarence) Bursey and Jean (Raymond) Johnson. Left to mourn, his wife of 60 years, Isabel; four daughters: Christine Martin, Grates Cove, Brenda Martin (Taha), Toronto, ON, Carol (Ralph) Meadus, Grates Cove and Lori Martin (Jonathan), Ottawa, ON; one son: Tony (Bonnie), Grates Cove; special best friend of Christine who is considered a part of the family, Brenda Broderick, Grates Cove, ten grandchildren: Neil (Melissa), Miranda (Mitchell), Michael (Brenda), Christian (Tiffany), Tyler (Megan), Joshua (Jessica), Teri (Jamie), Casey, Jillian (Matt) and Kennedy; six great-grandchildren: Allison, Shawn, Natalie, Callie, Carter and Charlie; sisters-in-law: Milla Martin, Grates Cove and Alma Blundon, St. John’s; brother-in-law: Charl (Faith) Cooper, Halifax, NS; also a large number of other relatives and special friends. Rested at Grace United Church, Grates Cove. Rev. Yvonne Hopkins conducted the Funeral Service on Monday, May 11 at Grace United Church and Cemetery, Grates Cove.
